Improved District
Website Launches
The Orange County Water District (the District; OCWD) has recently redesigned its website with a new vibrant look, simple navigation and expanded content that features technically advanced and relevant information and tools for learning and helping visitors better understand OCWD management practices and decisions.

The website will retain the same web address, www.ocwd.com, and the OCWD and Groundwater Replenishment System (GWRS) websites will no longer be stand-alone sites. The GWRS material is now contained on the new OCWD site and has a prominent presence.

Start exploring the new website through our navigation tabs:

About—Discover all meetings and agendas, service area and the board of directors, the history of the District, and OCWD departments.

What we do—Read about groundwater management, water quality, water reuse, sound planning, environmental stewardship, research and development, sound financial management, and legislative and community engagement.

How we work—Board meetings and agendas, transparency, and policies and procedures are highlighted in this section.

Learning center—Find out about water reuse; water-use efficiency; ocean desalination, white papers, publications and studies; presentations and fact sheets; reports; news and events; and resources. It includes links to a water glossary, a diagram of the water cycle and OCWD’s video library.

GWRS—Formerly a separate site, it delves extensively into the Groundwater Replenishment System, the world’s largest indirect potable reuse project.

More—The tab found at the right top of the homepage lets you investigate careers, opportunites and how to work with OCWD; find editions of OCWD's Hydrospectives newsletter and information for the media; and discover a number of ways to contact and follow OCWD.

Homepage—The District's landing page features the current hot topic for consumers and current groundwater information, including storage level, groundwater recharge and pumping.

The new website was crafted to reflect the District's core values that include transparency, sound planning, investment & financial management, high-quality water, environmental stewardship, and a highly reliable water supply.

Some of the videos and graphics that are in production for the District's education corridor project will soon be updated on the website. We welcome you to visit the website regularly for up-to-date news and information.
